"Achtung Baby" - "20º Aniversario"

"Achtung Baby" cumple 20 años en noviembre con una edición aniversario que contendrá canciones inéditas de la época y un nuevo documental realizado para la ocasión.

Era, dijo Robert Hilburn del LA Times, el "descenso audaz de U2 a la oscuridad," mientras que Jon Pareles del New York Times escribió "despojándose y desafiando las viejas fórmulas, U2 se ha dado la oportunidad de pelear por los 90s."

Los fans de U2 recordarán, que para Bono, era "el sonido de cuatro hombres talando el 'Árbol de Joshua'."

Veinte años atrás U2 lanzó "Achtung Baby," que ganó el premio Grammy en la categoría Best Rock Performance y terminó convirtiéndose en uno de las grabaciones más importantes de los noventa y de la carrera de U2.

Grabado durante más de seis meses en Hansa Studio de Berlín y en Windmill Lane de Dublín, "Achtung Baby" es el séptimo disco de estudio de U2. Producido por los colaboradores de hace mucho tiempo, Daniel Lanois y Brian Eno con Steve Lillywhite, "Achtung Baby" tuvo como ingeniero de sonido a Flood y como single principal a "The Fly." Y contó con otros cuatro singles "Mysterious Ways," "One," "Even Better Than The Real Thing" y "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses."

En 2011 el "Achtung Baby" ya ha crecido, y una edición aniversario está lista para lanzarse el próximo 31 de octubre.

En los archivos de "Achtung Baby" se han encontrado algunas canciones inéditas de las sesiones de grabación. Con mucho material inédito, videos, remixes, lados B e imágenes documentales descubiertas, también han sido revelados un disco completo de demos y primeras versiones del listado de temas final de 1991.

Se encontrarán disponibles cinco ediciones físicas incluyendo vinilo, CD, DVD y opciones digitales.

También estará disponible en el lanzamiento una versión de "From The Sky Down" (de Davis Guggenheim), luego de su estreno en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto el próximo 8 de septiembre. En el film U2 regresa a Hansa Studio a discutir sobre cómo se hizo "Achtung Baby."
